SB spent almost 3 hours re-reading that note. He couldn't believe it. He never felt more useless in his life. It just felt like a bad dream that he couldn't wait to wake up from. His phone kept ringing but he wouldn't even check it because he already knew it wasn't her.

*Meanwhile at Nickis house*

Nicki sat on her bed crying. She couldn't believe it was over between her and Safaree. At the moment that's what she wanting but now she regretted it. Alls she wanted from him was for h to show interest in being with her physically. She wasn't sure why because she knew she wasn't ready for sex but it made her feel ugly that he didn't even try. Nicki sat holding her phone waiting for him to call for hours. After a while she gave up and called him. But it was going straight to voice mail.

*sb house

He picked up his phone and dialed Nickis number. He was upset at the fact she sent him to voice mail. He called over and over but got no response. 

What they didn't know is that they've both been calling each other so it would ring busy. It's only been a few hours but the note has been ringing in both of their minds. 

' I can see you don't want me so I'm not going to force it any more. I'm sure you have some one making you happy. Good bye SB ' 

That's the note she left on his bathroom mirror. SB knew she was upset but not enough to end it. SB got dressed and started to get together what he was going to say to get her back. Only problem was he couldn't find his keys. Then he realized he doesn't lock the door anyway so he just left. He took the 15 minute walk to her house instead of driving. He still needed time to get his head right. He lifted his fist to knock but missed the door. He looked up and realized Nicki was opening the door as he was about to knock. He looked at her and suddenly he couldn't remember what ha had prepared to say. Nicki finally stopped crying but she had on her famous pout face and her eyes were still a little red. SB didn't talk he just hugged her and to his surprise she didn't resist. She pulled back a little after a while but he wouldn't let go. "I need you Onika" she heard him whisper. 

"I need you too Llyod" she said with a slight smile. "What took you so long?" She hugged him tighter and asked. 

"I wasn't sure what to do. But I couldn't let the love of my life slip away".

Nicki was silent and kept hugging him. When he said "love of his life" it caught her off guard. She was so lost in her thoughts she didn't realize she was still holding him. She also didnt realize how tight her grip had gotten. 

"Nika? Baby I can't breathe!" 

"Sorry SB" she said letting go and walking into the house. 

"Whoa. SB? What did I do?"

Nicki sighed as she sat on the couch. 

SB didn't want to push her so he started talking and hoped she would come around sooner or later. 

"You know what today reminded me of?" 

Nicki looked up. "No...?" 

"Remember that time you said you hated me?" 

*flashback*

     "I hate you Safaree" Nicki yelled from behind the locked bathroom door. 

"But Nic I'm sorry" SB whispered back. "Just leave I hate you". At those words SB slide to the floor of the door and silently cried. Nicki thought he finally left which made her mad. "How the hell could he leave when I'm so upset" she thought. 

*end of flashback* 

"Remember how mad you were when you thought I left? Even though you told me too?" When Nicki didn't answer he looked over to her and saw the tears in her eyes. "What Nicki!? Talk to me!" 

"Fuck you Safaree" she got up and walked away. 

Fuck it

SB turned around surprised that Nicki was yelling at him then he realized she was naked and couldn't stop starring. She was so pissed at him. She kept on yelling "ANSWER MY QUESTION SAFAREE! AM I NOT GOOD ENOUGH? FUCK IT. FUCK THIS. FUCK YOU AND FUC...." Before she could finish he had her pressed against the counter. She could feel him getting excited on her leg. Being a virgin she got scared. She was surprised. He never took any interest until now. He started rubbing her leg and kissing her neck passionately until she pushed him off. She thought she was ready but now in this moment she could tell she wasn't. She tried to apologize but when she moved closer he backed away. "I tried staying away Onika, you just ALWAYS have to do things your way!" She didn't think he had a right to be mad so of course she told him that. He couldn't believe her, "Onika I have been trying sooooo hard lately to not look at you in that way. Yes with all that body I have been able to look past it." "Why don't you want me Faree?" Nicki said sadly. "It's not that I don't want you, God knows I do" he said stepping closer, "I just wanna move slow babe you have to understand that! I love you" Nicki just turned around and went back upstairs. She didn't know why she was still mad but she was furious. She got dressed and walked out the front door after yelling "don't think about calling me". Nicki didn't notice but she had alot of days like this. She would get mad for nothing and push him away then she'd be lonely and get mad at him for being away. For the last weeks he's put up a with it. He figured her out quickly. That's one thing she hated. SB was probably the only person who knew the whole truth about her and still loved her anyway. SB went to take a cold shower to help out his 'situation' he figured he would fix everything once he came out. But to his surprise Nicki got in the shower with him. He was going to apologize but to his surprise she said sorry. "Safaree, I don't want a relationship like my parents had" Nicki said when they finished their shower and were walking back into his room naked. SB pulled Nicki into a kiss. "And I promise in sickness and health I will never put you through that". Nicki started to laugh, "SB we aren't married" SB whispered...."not yet". Before she could ask what he said his phone rang. Saved by the bell huh? "Get dressed meet me down stairs in 10" he said slapping her butt.
"Hello?"
"Okay"
"Thursday Night...?"
"I will see if I can free my schedule"
"Yes you're the best! Bye".
Realizing he left the door cracked Nicki walked closer to hear the conversation. From his side of the conversation she felt he was hiding something. "was he lying to me? He doesn't want me cause he has someone else" Nicki thought to herself.
*downstairs*
SB was in the living room for about an hour now. It was Friday and he wanted to take Nicki out. He told her 10 minutes hoping it would make her move faster but he didn't hear any movement up there for a while so he decided to check on her. "Nic!?" He yelled when he didn't see her in the room. "WTF? Where is she?" He thought out loud. SB was getting tired of her games and mood swings. He could never do anything nice for her. He loved her with all his heart but was it worth it? SB gave up looking for her realizing she was gone. He went in the bathroom and found a note taped to the mirror.

Long Time Coming (Part One)

*2 Weeks Later*
It was 11PM and SB was home laying in bed. He couldn't sleep because of all the thunder. He wasn't scared but he just knew Nicki never slept threw that so he decided to call her.
"Nika, baby you okay?"
"Yeah Faree I'm fin-ne" she jumped a little as she finished the sentence because of the thunder.
"So why do you sound scared?"
"Faree leave me alone" they both laughed. "I miss you" she pouted.
"I miss you too!"
"So why won't you come see me?"
"I just can't"
"Are you cheating on me?"
"What!? Onika stop! I gotta go."
When SB hung up he just shook his head. Yeah he hadn't seen her in two days but cheating? Really? He reached over and turned out his light after sending her a goodnight text saying he loved her he turned over and quickly fell asleep. SB didn't want to stay away but he felt he had to.
Lately SB couldn't control himself. He always wanted Nicki but he was always able to live with out having sex with her. But lately? That's all he thought about. He decided if he stayed away for a while the desire would go away. But with his luck it didn't. He dreamed about making love to her every night and every night it got better and better. But what he didn't know is that she felt the same way about him.
When SB woke up the next morning he was scared half to death when he felt someone laying next to him causing him to fall off the bed. He smirked and shook his head when he realized it was Nicki. By this time she was already up but laying there pretending to be sleeping. He yanked the cover off of her and she innocently smiled.
"Morning baby!"
"Good morning Nika, what you doing here?" At first she didn't answer but when she finally did it was a little above a whisper. "Well I missed you and I remembered that key you left.... You know just in case? So I kinda... Used it to sneak in" she frowned. "Baby come here" before he knew it she was stepping from under the covers with only a bra and panties on. "Whoa never mind! Where are your clothes?" ".....I never sleep with more than this on..." "Okay well stay under the cover until I leave the room, meet me in the kitchen." Nicki was hurt by this, was she really not sexy? It was one thing for him to respect her body and love her for her and not her body, but to neglect it? Show it no affection? Pay it no attention? That wasn't okay with her.
Nicki didn't get dressed, she walked down how she was.
"SAFAREE WHAT THE FUCK IS YOUR PROBLEM!?"

"Safaree why don't you just tell me?" Nicki asked innocently. "No Nic, I'm going to give her another chance, but I'm going home. My lip hurts!". SB left, he was slightly mad that Nicki believed he would do something like that but even madder at Jen for saying it. On his way out he ran into her. He planned on walking right past her. He figured her time would come. Jen ran up to Nickis room but before entering she wiped the smile off her face and started to act sad. Nicki had headphones in listening to Lauren Hill. She realized Jen was there but she never acknowledged her presence.
"Hey Nika!" Jen said walking over to her bed. Nicki just kept nodding her head to the beat until she felt it pulled out. "I was talking to you" Jen said angrily. Nicki never saw Jen act like this but it didn't really scared her. Jen starred Nicki in the eyes for about 2 minutes before smirking and walking away. Nicki figured if she ignored Jen she would give up and tell the truth.
A few hours later Nicki was going downstairs because she smelled food realizing it was almost 6PM and she hasn't eaten a thing. As she opened her room door she was slapped to the ground. A tear immediately escaped her eyes. Not because she was hit but mostly because she saw the rage in her mothers eyes. "What the f....." Nicki was cut off by her mother, "I dare you Onika!"
"Mom what was that for!?!?" But she didn't answer she just walked away. Nicki didn't even feel hungry anymore. She just went back in her room and fell asleep.
When she woke up she could hear her moms soft cries from outside her door. Nicki got up and led her mother in without turning on the light. She figured it would be easier for them if they couldn't see each other. Nicki slept for about 4 hours so now it was 10 o clock. Nobody said anything for a while, it was just silent. Not an awkward silence though it was more comfortable. Nicki reached over and grabbed her mothers hand but her mother snatched away. She even refused to sit on the bed. "Onika take a shower and meet me in the living room when you're done." In her mind she was thinking "what the fuck?" But she just nodded her head and headed to the bathroom. The whole time she was wandering what was wrong. Finally giving up she got out the shower an hesitated going downstairs or not. "Onika now!" She didn't know her mom hear come out the bathroom. "I'm just putting my clothes away mom!" Soon Nicki was walking down the stairs and noticed her mothers figure sitting upright on the couch. "Sex?" Nicki didn't know how to answer that. She just stopped in her tracks. "You're having sex in my house?" "WHATTTT!? MOM NO! I swear to..." Nicki stopped because her mom glared at her, daring her to 'swear to god'. "Mommy I promise!" But she got no answer. "I couldn't make him have sex with me no matter what" Nicki whispered as she broke down in tears. "What?" "Mom he isn't attracted to me that way. I won't say he doesn't love me but he won't show it!" Nicki didn't notice but she was now sitting up under her mother like when she was younger and would get into it with SB. "Mommy am I not pretty enough?" Nicki felt like a little kid again. She didn't know why but whenever it came to SB her mother always knew what to do. "Nicki it isn't about sex all the time" Nicki just sighed. "Baby how will I understand if u won't talk to me?". "I don't wanna have sex Ma'. I just...." She trailed off. She could hear Jen at the top of the stairs. Then it started to make sense.
"Mom when we send Jen home lets make sure her mom takes her to military school" her mother was confused by this but she winked and pointed towards Jen then her mom saw the shadow and caught on. "I know! I was on the phone with her mother earlier and we were discussing that!" Jen couldn't believe her ears. Nicki continued, "remember what happened to the little girl down the street that went there?" Nicki began to laugh. "Oh that poor child, I still pray for her although I know it won't help her in there."
Jen came down the stairs furious. "You know I hate you right?" "Jen watch your......" "No mom! Let her get everything out." "Don't defend me, I can't stand you! The way you walk, the way you talk, your perfect life, stupid boyfriend..." By this time they couldn't understand her because she was in tears. Nicki just looked at her 14 year old cousin in disbelief. How could someone so young be so full of hate? "Why did you lie on Safaree?, rape isn't something you play with." "Jennifer! You accused that nice boy of raping you?" But Jen didn't answer, she continued to cry. "So when you told me about Onika having sex in my house, was it true?" Jen shook her head no. "I want you to apologize." "No I'm not apologizing! I just want things how they should be! She doesn't deserve to be happy!". Jen heard a horn beep so she grabbed her bags which she put at the bottom of the steps earlier in the day and walked towards the door. She turned around before completely exiting the house and smiled. "Wow she's going to be quite an actress one day" Mama Maraj joked while Nicki sat in shock.

Chapter 8 Last Chance

SB kissed Nic on the head and walked into the hallway. "Why?" He asked and a small voice answered "So you guys couldn't go out tonight, she deserve better then you" SB was shocked, "well JEN I'm what she has and she seems happy you better tell her before I do". Jen rolled her eyes and walked into the room to lay with Nicki. "Whoa then where do I sleep?" Jen woke Nicki up and said "Please let me sleep here! I missed u big cousin" in the cutest voice and Nicki answered "Of course darling I love you goodnight". Hearing that Jen smiled as SB walked out with his head low. He went HOME.
SB hadn't been to his house in a couple of months. He lived alone since he was 13 but he didn't mind. With Nicki as his friend he always had someone to be with. He had no where to sleep because Jen was in his spot and the couch hurts his back so he slept in his own bed. His house was a few blocks away. He got there in 15 minutes. His house was the first on the block, it was light blue. SB walked up to it and thought for a minute before going inside. It was decorated nice but it was always empty. He didn't notice that he didn't lock his front door he just headed to his room to sleep. He hoped Jen wouldn't do anything to Nicki while he wasn't there.
*Back At Nickis House The Next Day*
Nicki woke up to an empty bed. SB doesn't wake up e earlier so she figured he was mad about something. She texted him asking where he was. He heard his phone vibrate and without opening his eyes he felt around the bed for it.
* SB's house *
He finally opened his eyes and stopped being lazy. That's when he saw her. She was sitting there with an evil smile. "I wouldn't answer that if I were you" she laughed. She walked over from the corner of his room to his bed and picked up the phone. She saw it was a message from Nicki and she smiled as she started to reply. 'Leave me.....' "Jen who is that?" SB yelled at her. She continued to type 'alone, I hate you bitch it's over I seem someone younger and much prettier'. SB got out his bed and tried to grabb the phone but she already pressed send. He didn't get the phone and she was still messing with it when he asked what she was doing there. She didn't answer she just walked out of his bedroom and his house. About 45 minutes later she was back at Nickis house.
"NICKI !! NICKI !! Help me !!". Nicki was upstairs in her room crying but she jumped up when she heard that. She got real serious when she saw the cuts and bruises on her little cousins face and body. Her clothes were ripped and she was crying. "What happened to you?, Why'd you leave the house this morning without waking me up? TELL ME NOW." But Jen wouldn't stop crying. The only thing Nicki understood threw the cried was 'Safaree'. Nicki's eyes grew wide thinking about the text he sent her. Nicki started crying historically "I'm so sorry, he'll pay!" She repeated over and over as she hugged her little cousin. SB was in the shower and he was thinking. 'What the hell is that girl up to'. He was getting out the shower when Nicki bursted into the bathroom. SB joked, "I really should work on locking doors" he laughed but then he noticed the tears and frustration on her face. "Babe...?" Was all Safaree could say before she went off on him. "Oh now I'm your babe? Fuck you Safaree, first you send me that text, then you do this to Jen and now you want me back? KISS MY ASS". SB was confused. He finished getting dressed while he talked to her trying to stay clam. "Okay first, what text?" When she ignored him he yelled her name which made her jump. She picked his phone up off the dresser but the message was gone she was so confused. So she grabbed her phone and showed him. He swore he didn't write that, "baby I don't even type like that. I swear it wasn't me" he said now holding her by her waist. Nicki was smiling and starting to fall into him, she could never resist when he held her. She remembered hearing SB tell Jen that she had to tell Nicki or he would then he remembered that text she punched him as hard as she could right in the face and he started to bleed from his lip. "WHAT THE FUCK". Her eyes started to water, "you changed to much" she cried. "YOU HIT ME AND I CHANGED!?! He said still yelling. "How could you rape Jen?" SB was furious he couldn't believe it. Nicki continued on "you said you found someone younger, why her!?!?" Nicki cried hitting SB's chess, he pulled her in close and told her she had to believe him. But of course she didn't. "Let me prove it to you then". The walk back to Nickis house was quiet until they hit the front steps because SB stepped in front of her.
"What the hell? Move".
"No! She'll never tell the truth in front of you, go the back way ill give u a couple minutes to get in place before I go upstairs".
"Whatever Safaree" He smiled at the way she said his name, she thought he was perfect but now her thoughts changed. Nicki got upstairs but she made a little noise, she couldn't climb so she was struggling. Jen heard her but she caught on fast. When SB got in the room Nicki was in the closet with it half way open he smirked at her being so predictable. He called Jen into the room.
"What?"
"Why aren't you crying anymore? Shouldn't you be scared if I really did hurt you"
"Fuck you SB"
"My friends call me SB"
"Yeah I'm leaving" she said coldly.
Nicki started to come out the closet when she heard Jen whisper 'I'm not admitting to anything with her in the closet' then starts laughing and runs off. Nicki waited a few moments to come out of the closet and she heard SB yell to Jen as she ran out the room "You have one LAST CHANCE to tell the truth about what you did!!"

Chapter 7 - Dead Wrong

Nicki and her mom were in the kitchen laughing and playing around when her cousin walked in. She was about 14 and Nicki was already 19 but she really didn't mind her being around. She looked a little like Nicki, her name is Jen. She's almost Nickis height and has the same long brown hair. Nicki loves having Jen around because she does what ever she says and she basically admires her.
"See you later mom, meeting Safaree for a movie" Nicki leaned over the counter to give her mother a kiss.
"Behave Onika" Nicki smiled and went upstairs. She wasn't surprised to see that Jen was right behind her but then she noticed Jen putting on her coat.
"Whoa Whoa Whoa!, where do you think your going?" Jens smile went into a glare, "With you Onika. I love you"
"I love you too baby but you can't come, this is time for me and Safaree. I'll take you out tomorrow". Jen wasn't happy, she sat on Nics bed and helped her pick out something to wear. She picked out a white shirt with a cute pink jacket. A white skirt with pink leggings and some pink high heels. Nicki loved this style, she dressed like this all the time.
"Okay while your in the shower I'll go down and wait for Safaree" Jen said happily, okay baby later Nicki said grabbing her stuff and going into the bathroom. As soon as Jen heard the door close she went back into Nics room quietly. She took something out of er pocket and poured it into the perfume bottle she knew Nicki would use, smiled then walked out. She was so happy now.
When Jen got downstairs she heard the door, Nicki's mom yelled "I got it." Then Jen immediately yelled "NOOOO" by this time she was at the bottom of the steps and she noticed how her aunt was looking at her. Then she smiled and said "you look busy I'll just get it". She looked through the peep whole and saw it was SB. She opened the door a crack just enough so she can get out then she closed it. She looked at him in a disgusted way. SB was confused but then he remembered her and rolled his eyes. SB had on a black Adidas track suit with a pink shirt and a pair of black and pink Adidas to match. He wanted to match Nic and he knew she'd have on pink.
"Can I come in?" He asked her.
"No but you can surely go home". Jen definitely had Nickis attitude but compared to what he's been through with Nicki it was nothing. "I never liked you and I promise I never will"
"Look Jen I really don't are just let me in"
"It's Jennifer to you butt face! Now go home" With that she turned around to walk into the house. She looked surprised when SB yelled "MAAAAA". SB always called Nickis mother his because his wasn't around so when she heard that she walked over to the door and asked what happened. Before he could tell her Jen stopped him and said "nothing". Nicki came downstairs wearing the outfit they picked out.
"Wow Nicki, You look beautiful" SB said while smiling.
Nicki pushed his head and laughed then she whispered, "starring is rude" is the most sexy voice she can make. For a while now Nicki has been trying to get SB to be sexual but he won't even kiss her for longer then a minute. He laughed at her joke and moved over. SB wasn't dumb he knew what Nicki was doing but he didn't want to be 'that guy'.
Nicki walked over to SB and hugged him from behind. He said "wow you smell good, it smells like....." He started to think then about a second later he threw her over his shoulder and ran up stairs. She was thinking he was finally have sex with her. But she was mad, her mother and little sister just saw that. To her surprise he turned on the shower and put her in it. He faced her toward the wall as he took off her clothes. He pulled the curtain and left with out saying a word to her. Nicki was mad, she sat on the shower floor and cried. "I just wanted the date to be perfect" she thought to herself. Mean while downstairs SB was throwing her clothes into the washing machine and rushing back upstairs. SB went back to the bathroom got soap and rubbed Nicki from top to bottom making sure she was clean. Nicki was confused, "I thought I smelled good Safaree" She finally said. SB smiled at her he looked her into her eyes as said "I love you" she didn't say it back, she was mad !. It was quiet for a while but he was still starring at her. A tear fell from his eye. "I'm sorry I love you too" Nicki said as she watched the tear go down his face. "Babe..." He said, in her head Nicki was the happiest girl ever "he never calls me babe" she said to herself then she looked up trying to stay cool and he said "please be more careful". She looked completely up and said "Okay Safaree please explain!!!" He laughed, "Okay get dressed first".
When Nicki got out the shower she saw that SB had hello kitty pajamas laid on the sink and her hello kitty slippers by the door. She put the stuff on put her hair in a bun and went into her room. She saw SB sitting there and smiled. "Miss me?" She teased. He said yeah and kissed her. "Why were you crying babe?" He looked at her and said slowly, "That was too close, I won't let it happen again, last time was bad enough!! But just know... Your cousin is DEAD WRONG".

"Mom we're gonna be late, come on already"
"Onika would you calm down?"
"I'm sorry but you know how I get when...."

"Wait mom he's my friend"
"I thought we didn't have time to wait" Her mother said with a smile.
Nicki walked past her mother rolling her eyes she headed to the car, straight to the drivers seat. "COME ON MOM" she rushed but her mom took her time, they had 3 hours and the place was 20 minutes away. Nicki was in a rush for nothing. 5 minutes later they were pulling off and of course Nicki was mad but she got over it. "So what'd you get him?" Nicki looked over at her mom and blushed at the question. She started talking a mile a minute "well, I got him new sneakers, a watch, a new hat! The hat's purple mom! And I got him a nice chain that says SB on. He might be mad about that because its pink but I got it anyway. I got him some nice jeans and a...." Her mother cut her off. "For my birthday you got me a card" Nicki laughed and said sorry mom this is different ! This is..." Her mom cut her off " I know darling I know, this is SAFAREE". She said his name like Nicki does and then laughed. "Mom would you stop? He's really my friend" "I know baby but we all know you want to be more. I like him and I know him very well it's fine with me if you date him but you know how far to go right Onika?" They were now at the place so she pulled over and looked at her. "Right!?" She repeated a little louder. " Mom I know your not talking about sex right now" Nicki started laughing, "I know I don't even want to! I didn't even know I liked him! I won't date him" "Why is she so confusing?" Her mom whispered while dramatically looking up. Nicki laughed again "Mom he doesn't like me we're bestfriends okay? I hope you don't mind!!" Her mom laughed then they got out the car.
Nicki was running around like a chicken for a while now. She had planned the perfect day, but it seemed so great to everyone except her. There wasn't enough ice, the chips were to hard and she missed SB. "Mom it's 7:30 where is he?!" She started to worry so she called him. She went outside because the music was loud.
"Hey birthday boy"
"What's up?"
"Where are you?"
"Same place you are"
"Safaree stop playing". He hung up the phone.
Nicki sat on the curb sad. "Where is he?" She kept thinking. SB walked up to her and pulled her up. She didn't see him because he came from behind her so she immediately began to fight him. "Damn girl chill" She heard his voice so she loosened up and let him pull her up. "Nicki I been here for about 10 minutes, you walked right by me twice I just couldn't get your attention" SB was a little drunk, he just turned 17 and he just wanted to try it. He kissed her. She didn't know what to say.

She immediately thought it was her mom then she realized he was drunk. She decided to never bring it up if he didn't. It's been 3 years now since that day and alot has changed. Nicki had a week to plan, and she knew exactly what she wanted to do.
